That is an extreme double standard. How can it be legal for her to kill a baby, when he can not? Are not all citizens equal? It would would appear that men are second class citizens, then.

just because its legal for a female to get an abortion, does not make it legal for any individual to murder an unborn child. just like its not legal for anyone to commit murder, but its totally legal for some one to get sent to death sentence by a judge, if the punishment fits the crime. if this guy had stabbed the mother on the belly and stabbed and killed the baby in the process. he should be charged for murder of the child and attempted murder of the mother. there are no double standards.

But if she killed the child, then it would not be a crime. This is a sexist double standard, then. If he gets charged with a count of murder for killing the baby, then it sets legal precedence that baby killing is a crime; but, according to the legal precedence of Roe V. Wade, it is not a crime. Therefor, he is only answerable to one count of unintentional manslaughter against the woman.

death sentence is used in some states, now using your same logic here. do you really think if they send some one to death sentence its ok for me to go kill this guy. and me not go to jail for killing him. the same thing here, only the mother can decide if the baby is going to be aborted or not. any one else making that decision for her, makes it a murder of that baby.

You’re getting off topic to my original query. I’m well aware the police officer had no say in whether the infant lived or not. I wanted to know why the mother has that say, and because she has that say, why is it that big of a deal if he accidentally aborts the infant. If abortion is not murder in our society, how can he be charged with 2 counts of murder? To do so would be a dereliction of the 14th amendment. It’s just downright sexist.

the police officer that committed the crime was not the father of the baby, thus had no authority over this unborn child life, he was not qualified or authorized to perform such medical procedure, a moving vehicle is not the proper instrument to perform the surgery.
abortion legal stature, does not allow any one to kill a strangers unborn baby with the pretense that abortion is legal, thus authorizing this complete stranger to decide and perform the abortion out of his own will, its just crazy.

So a woman can kill an infant and a man can not? You’re wrong about the parents being able to decide whether the infant lives or not. We both know that the father can not legally protect his children, if the mother wants them aborted.

the parents are the only people that can decide to have the unborn child aborted, trough a medical procedure, during a specific and early time in the pregnancy.
this police officer committed murder against a woman and her unborn baby, which the parents where going to keep and not abort.
By the police officer leaving the seen of the crime, comes to show how little did the police office care about the life of the public he swore to protect. trial the officer and send him to jail.

If she had the baby aborted no one would give a damn. Why is he being tried for a double murder; unless of coarse, people are finally admitting that abortion is murder and infanticide.
