Many people would do just about anything and everything to get pregnant. And once they have accomplished this, it is important to know how the baby develops in the womb. Mothers need to educate themselves about the sensitivity of fetal development as this is very crucial. Fetal development is important to track since this will determine the baby’s overall health. The very first trimester during pregnancy is begins with the conception that could possibly occur approximately two weeks right after the first day of your last menstruation. In simpler words, the first couple of weeks of the pregnancy do not involve any fetus yet. It is only the preparation phase.

On the third week, the fertilization process happens.  This is the time the sperm cell and the egg cell unite to form a zygote which is a single- celled entity.  Some women may also have more than one zygote especially if she has the tendency to release more than one egg per cycle.  The traits of the baby are based on the chromosomes which are derived from you and your partner. When the zygote moves from the tube to the uterus, it will form into an embryo. It shall be protected by external group of cells.

On the fourth week, it will start to implant itself onto the wall of your uterus in order to be nourished. This is the time you can confirm your pregnancy. The week that follows that is what we refer to as the embryonic period. This is the specific stage in the first trimester period when the organs start to form. The heart, spinal cord and the brain will start to develop which makes it even more important for mothers to be extra careful with their activities and the food they take.

There are three particular layers of an embryo called the ectoderm, mesoderm and the endoderm. The ectoderm layer is composed of the skin eyes, inner ear, central nervous system and other connective tissues. The heart, muscles, kidneys and reproductive system are all parts of the middle layer. And lastly, the innermost layer of an embryo is in-charge of the development different organs such as bladder, lungs and intestines.   Facial features shall also start to form in the first trimester during pregnancy.  The baby will grow up to 6 millimeters long at the end of this period. During this time, alcohol intake and cigarette smoking can trigger the worst effects on the embryo.

Yeast infections are actually caused by a fungus called Candida Albicans, now this type of fungus is already part of our bodies and most of the time they are very harmless. Yeast Infection And First Trimester Pregnancy However, if our bodies are undergoing a major imbalance, it can set off the overgrowth of the fungus that can result to a candida infection or yeast infection in layman’s term. A major imbalance in our bodies happen when we get really sick or we are going a great deal of stress, these situations can throw off our bodies balance and immune system, creating a favorable environment for the fungus.

Finally after more than a year of research we had a breakthrough.Click here

Now if the fungus has already grown and has resulted to an infection, the types and symptoms will differ from men and women. For women, the most common type is called vaginitis or simply vaginal yeast infection. The most usual symptoms for women are vaginal itching, vaginal douche, painful sexual intercourse and urination. For men, the most common type is called penile yeast infection, and the usual symptoms for men are itching, redness of penis, blistering of the penis skin, painful sexual intercourse and many more.

Most YI sufferers just ignore the problem and think that it will just go away, not knowing that the infection is the cause of almost all of their illnesses. If you ignore your YI, it can eventually lead to headaches, arthritis, eczema, blurred vision, impotence and even depression.

Like I said I was also a victim of YI, and let me tell you it is not fun. There were times when I am in a public gathering and I just can’t control myself from scratching. I was also afraid of getting intimate, because I was so conscious that my partner will get turned off because of my infection. So, like any normal person would do, I tried to find a solution for my problem. I went to my doctor and he just prescribed some ointments and creams as yeast treatment. Unfortunately those medications only works until you are using them, if you stop using them the infection comes back.

It is amazing that a baby forms from a single cell, and this creation is far beyond our understanding. There are two types of ages called the menstrual age and the conceptional age. Menstrual age is the time since the first day of the menstrual period which is used by the pregnant woman to calculate the age of the baby. But the conceptional age is commonly used by the embryologists which is the interval since fertilization. The development of the fetal organs is called as organogenesis. A new organ develops each day in the first trimester. Organogenesis completes in the first trimester, but the organs grow and mature in second and third trimesters.

For the first 3 weeks following conception the term fertilized ovum or zygote is used. From 4 to 8 weeks after conception it is known as the embryo, and following this is the fetus until birth when it becomes a baby. The first trimester is between 0 and 12 weeks. Both the mother and the growing fetus undergo various changes.

0-4 weeks after conception: There is a rapid growth noticed during this stage. When a ovum is fertilized, it reaches the uterus in 3-4 days. The cell division starts here, where the fertilized ovum divides into 2, then into 4, then into 8, 16 and so on until it forms a cluster of cells called as the morula. In 10 days, the morula becomes the blastocyst which has a fluid filled cavity called as blastocele. This blastocyst lies free in the uterus for 2 or 3 more days. Now, trophoblast the single layer of cell which lies outside the blastocyst produces a sticky substance that helps the blastocyst to adhere to the endometrium. This is called as implantation which happens around 28th of the last menstrual period.Embryonic plate and primitive central nervous system is also formed. Heart develops and begins to beat. Limb buds are also formed.

4-8 weeks: Cell division is very rapid at this stage. Head and the facial features develop. All the major organs are laid down in its primitive form. External genetalia is present but the sex is not distinguished. The baby shows some early movements that can be visible on ultrasound from 6 weeks.

8-12 weeks: Facial features become more prominent. Eyelids are fused, kidneys start to function, and the fetus passed urine from 10 weeks. The heart is chambered and fetal circulation functions properly. Sucking and swallowing begins. You might even see your baby sucking his thumb in an ultrasound. Sex is apparent now. He starts to move freely, but it is not felt by the mother. Some primitive reflexes are present.

First trimester is very important in organogenesis because most organs develop during this stage. Hence, care should be taken to avoid abnormalities in the developing baby by avoiding certain medicines and smoking.

The first trimester is the most critical moment of pregnancy since the mother should take all necessary precautions to be able to ensure safe growth of the baby. During this time, developments of essential body parts happen that pregnant mothers should know what food to eat and what activities to take. Whatever changes that will take place during the first twelve weeks of pregnancy will be permanent. Whatever the beginning is will be carried throughout the end.

It may be said however that the early pregnancy stages should be treated with care, it does not mean that the next few weeks of being pregnant should not be considered essential too.  The point of saying this is that the essentials of your baby’s growth like the placenta and the fingers and the vital organs happen to initiate during this term. There are a lot of good things that you could expect from the first trimester of your pregnancy. Knowing these expectations can give you track of what is going to happen and what will you to adapt to the event or change.

Here is an account of the week by week changes of your baby during the first few weeks of your pregnancy.  For the week 1 of your pregnancy, the health care provider will count forty weeks from the first date of your last menstruation. This means that your pregnancy period kicked off even when you aren’t pregnant yet. The second week is the week of fertilization. This time the sperm and egg unite to create a zygote. The zygote then travels from the fallopian tube to the uterus.

Pregnancy stages include the third week as important part of the whole pregnancy when the zygote turns into a blastocyst and nourishes itself in the placenta. Moreover, the embryonic period begins at week 4. the baby’s heart and the circulatory system forms.  At week five, your baby reaches the size of the tip of the pen. His can be very exciting since the mother can now hear the baby’s heart beating her. Week six marks the forming of the passageways like the mouth and the inner ear and the formation of the digestive and respiratory tracts. The pregnancy’s first trimester still continues with the appearance of the umbilical chord in the seventh week. The arms will look like a tiny paddle that indicates the baby’s movement. On week eight, The baby’s fingers and toes form. The baby is an inch long in the ninth week. Your baby’s head will be tucked down unto the chest as it looks half the size of the body.

Neurons multiply in week ten and it could be possible that baby’s sex can be apparent. Determining the gender of the baby is one of the highlights of pregnancy. Other mothers, however, will still have to wait for the next pregnancy stages because babies might not have positioned themselves to be easily seen by the practitioner. On the last part of the initial trimester, baby’s finger nails and toe nails appear.

Taking care of your baby all through out the pregnancy is a must for mothers who want to ensure the baby’s physical, mental and emotional stability.

The first trimester is the most critical moment of pregnancy since the mother should take all necessary precautions to ensure the safe growth and development of the baby. During this time your baby starts to develop critical body systems. To ensure their proper growth, pregnant mothers should know what foods to eat and what activities to avoid.

First trimester heartburn can be pretty intense and pretty frequent.  You may want to take a hard look at your diet and cut out certain things.  Here are some of the things that can cause heartburn:

Alcohol
Caffeine
Carbonated beverages
Chocolate
Citrus fruits and drinks
Coffee (regular or decaf)
Fried and fatty foods
Tomatoes and tomato products

You should try to eliminate or cut as many of these things out of your diet as possible.

First Trimester Heartburn – Sleep Timing and Position

Try to never lie down right after a meal.  You should try to wait at least two hours before lying down or you may experience heartburn.  Your stomach acid is in maximum production level during the first hours after you eat a meal so do not promote heartburn by lying down at this time.

When you do lie down try to keep your upper body elevated, this will enable gravity to help keep your stomach acid where it belongs.

First Trimester Heartburn – Antacids

There are many over-the-counter antacids available.  It is typically a good idea for you to test different antacids (assuming your physician is comfortable with you using them).  You will start to see that different antacids work differently for you.

Some antacids will have little effect on your first trimester heartburn. Some antacids will work but take too long.  Some may work quickly but not last long.  If you pay careful attention to how they work you will be able to come up with an antacid system that works for your body.

First Trimester Heartburn – Prescriptions

If your first trimester heartburn is bad enough or often enough that it is causing you major discomfort your doctor may prescribe an antacid for you.  Some doctors may be reluctant to do so but in the end you are not expected to be in major discomfort for months.  First trimester heartburn may be common but the severity of it will differ from person to person.

You will also want to monitor how your body reacts to the prescription.  See how long it takes to work and how long it works.  Make sure you understand if it is something you are supposed to take before the heartburn kicks in or after.  Ask your doctor any questions you may have.

The Bottom Line

The bottom line is that you will have to find the right cure for your particular case of first trimester heartburn. Every woman has a different pregnancy and has different things that work for them.  Find what works for you and you can put an end to your first trimester pregnancy.

If you are experiencing heartburn while pregnant and looking for that perfect cure, you could only be a click away. There are many factors that can lead to it and many cures. It’s all about finding what’s right for you and your body. Everyone is different. www.HeartburnInPregnancy.com
